TOVE LO

Now it’s time for one of Sweden’s largest and most powerful music exports, Tove Lo, to return to her hometown Stockholm

The eye of the needle you have to get through to become an international pop star is, as the name suggests, extremely small. Swedish Tove Lo not only took her through, she kicked in the door with her raw, outspoken song ‘Habits – Stay High’ – a song about partying even harder to forget her heartache. Today, nine years later, in addition to well over a billion streams and collaborations with everything from Doja Cat, Coldplay, Charlie XCX, Kylie Minogue to Wiz Khalifa, Tove Lo has an obvious status as one of the pioneers of modern pop music. Do you even dare to mention that Tove Lo is also a sought-after songwriter who wrote hits for artists such as Lorde, Icona Pop and Ella Goulding?

Tove Los’ fourth studio album – the acclaimed ‘Sunshine Kitty’ – came out in 2019. Once again we got to follow the artist as she explored her favorite subjects in the usual omission: sex, drugs and broken hearts. This time, however, the suit was more clubbing and Tove Lo herself more vulnerable than she has ever been. We could also hear her do a cover on Maggio with her ‘I’m coming’ (2020), with Martin Garrix on ‘Pressure’ (2021) and not least in the TV series Euphoria where her own ‘How Long’ (2022) appeared. And in the future there will be more of that product – even more sweet music is coming.
