Are you ready for this year's third NUET? On April 5th, you can expect a spectacular performance by the British duo CamelPhat at The Ballroom, Berns.
Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala, the talented DJs behind the name CamelPhat, started their musical journey in Liverpool. They have made a name for themselves with the track ‘Cola’, which not only became a major hit but was also nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance Recording category in 2017. With their success, CamelPhat has established themselves on the world map within the underground techno genre, where ‘Cola’ reached the top 17 on the UK Singles Chart and amassed millions of streams.
CamelPhat chose its name with the ambition to create ten special tracks that were entirely different from anything else, independent of the influences of record labels or commercial interests. Whelan and Di Scala, as a dynamic duo, have also produced several remixes and bootlegs under various aliases such as The Bassline Hustlers, Men from Mars, and Da Mode. One of their early releases is the single “Shot Away” from 2006, released through All Around the World under the name Pawn Shop. The track, which is based on samples from “Gimme Shelter” by The Rolling Stones, reached number 100 on the British singles chart. Over the years, the duo has also performed on prestigious stages like Afterlife, alongside Tale of Us.
NUET is ready to host yet another memorable evening and offer one of the biggest music experiences on Swedish soil together with CamelPhat. To make the evening even more amazing, NUET also has invited one of Stockholm’s hottest names right now, LAYER J, who will open the main dance floor before the duo from Liverpool takes the stage.
