Born Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, Black Coffee has established himself as a powerful influence in the international music scene since the start of his career in the early 2000s. His unique style, which blends deep house with African rhythms, has made him a favorite on dance floors worldwide. His musical journey began at Technikon Natal where he studied music theory, laying the foundation for his technical skills and creative style.

Black Coffee’s influence extends beyond his studio work. He has performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages and festivals, including Coachella and Tomorrowland, and has established a prominent presence in Ibiza, one of the global capitals of electronic dance music. His residency at Hï Ibiza Theatre is particularly notable, attracting thousands of visitors every year.

His work spans multiple genres and includes collaborations with international stars such as Drake, David Guetta, and Usher, illustrating his broad musical range and ability to bring together diverse musical traditions into something truly unique.
